Access and the concept VLOOKUP in Excel

Is there a way mimic the vlookup function of Excel in Access using SQL? What I am trying to do is create a table with planning values and based on the field title to grab a particular value in the two-column table.

Depends, sometimes a subquery (nested queries) will accomplish or maybe a domain aggregate function (DLookup, DSum, DAvg, etc) is needed. Or maybe just need to build a query that joins two tables. Without more info on your data structure and what you need to acomplish, can't be more specific.
How to attach file: http://www.accessforums.net/showthread.php?t=70301 To provide db: copy, remove confidential data, run compact & repair, zip w/Windows Compression.
