accdb to mdb conversion - loss of form code?

I have seen this issue on a database sent to me, and another poster on this form has raised the question -

When a database is converted from accdb in A2007 (A2010?) to mdb so it can be used in A2003, is all the code in the forms lost? Is there a way to prevent that?

As I pointed out, another poster sent me a database to look at, which he had converted from accdb to mdb, and none of the forms had any code.

If this always happens, then IMO Microsoft has a very serious issue to deal with. But I suspect (and hope) it is just a setting somewhere.

    Thanks

    John

Thiat is odd. Code should not be lost.

    How was the conversion done?

    Hi June -

    The user in this post:

seems to have had that issue, and in this thread, the database that was posted contains no form code (at least none that I could find), and the forms had HasModule = No.

If you can give me any insight on this, it would be appreciated, because I may have to do the same thing.

    Thanks

I just tested in 2007 saving accdb to mdb. All code is intact. Can't replicate issue.
