    Filter on a Form - How to show results of a filter in a subform

    Hello

    I am new to MS Access 2007. Trying to build a very simple database. I have a form displaying student details and I want to search a specific student details. I managed to add a filter button on header which works fine but after finding a record I can not see other records on my form.
    How can I show my filter results on a sub-form without affecting main form???

    Regards

    Majeed

    Subform unnecessary complication.

    Instead of filtering, move to the desired record. Involves use of RecordsetClone and bookmarks. Example:

    'find record
    With Me.RecordsetClone
    .FindFirst "StudentID=" & Me.cbxStudent
    Me.Bookmark = .Bookmark
    End With
    How to attach file: http://www.accessforums.net/showthread.php?t=70301 To provide db: copy, remove confidential data, run compact & repair, zip w/Windows Compression.
