I'm building a report with a subreport.
My subreport will have the same criteria as my main report does. How do I have my main report pass the criteria to the subreport?

What criteria? Why would main and subreport have same criteria other than the pk/fk? Have you set the Master/Child links properties of the subreport container control?
Or are both using the same source data (not master/child associated records), just displaying different arrangements?
Several ways to pass same criteria to both.
1. RecordSource query can have criteria parameters referencing input into controls on a form.
2. Set Filter property
