    Exporting to excel

    Hello



    I have a report which has about 5 subreport. When i transfer the data to excel the data is all over the place. How can i organize the data???

    This is how it looks.

    Sorry, data from complex reports won't export nice. Can't do anything to make the export look better. Will have to fix it on the Excel side.

    Why do you want it in Excel?

    I agree; this is one of the reasons the ability to export a report to Excel was later removed. Either export to PDF or export the underlying query(ies) to Excel, perhaps with automation if you want a particular look.

    Thank you for your reply. The report is coming out the way i want it to but i'm having a hard time aligning all sub reports with the main report.

    Actually, the export of report to Excel is still possible. Just did it. Can't expect it to always look nice.

    Interesting; I hadn't realized they put it back in. Looks like SP2 brought it back. Since I don't typically export reports to Excel anyway, I hadn't noticed.

    I didn't know it ever went away. Not something I routinely do so probably wouldn't miss it, much. I did use it on a personal file at home recently. The output was okay, did have to clean up the worksheet structure a little.
