    Unlocking Access Application Form View

    Hello everyone,

Hopefully I'm in the right area for this thread.
I do not know Access that well when it comes to development.
A colleague and myself have inherited a project that requires us to research an application developed in Access.
We both have worked at SQL Server Administrators. All we have been provided is an .mdb.
The .mdb opens right up into the form view if you will.
When working with Access many years ago I know there are other views to Access when it comes to design, tables and relationships.
Can anyone point me in the right direction as far as what questions to ask or to research to expedite response?
Does the .mdb need to be unlocked or opened in another way?

The project might have Options set that hide tool bars and object contents list. Hold down shift key when opening the project. That can override those Option settings and you will then have the design views available. If shift key doesn't work then someone has somehow coded the project to disable the shift key. If they didn't build in code to allow developer access to the design, you might have to then try importing all the objects to new project.

You can also try F11 to open the object contents list. F1 will open Help.
