Hi all.
Let me first explain what I am trying to accomplish. I have an access database to keep track of taxi bookings. The majority of the fields in the table in question are just text fields with a date field and time field.
What I would eventually like to do is to look at my android phone and see what jobs I have coming up, so I am thinking that there is a nice simple way for my non progammer mind to link Access to Google Calendar.
I think there are many ways to skin this cat:
- Link a query to Outlook and use the free program to sync outlook to google calendar.
- Link a query to a csv and somehow auto import to google calendar
- Link Sharepoint to google as it is a sharepoint list.
- Link an access query to some kind of rss feed for google to read
- Mess about with an ical file (whatever the hell that is) and get google to fetch it....
What ever way I do it, I can't seem to get the job done. I thought the simplist way would be for outlook to read a query directly from Access but I can't figure it out.
i am using outlook 2010 and access 2010. It's on sharepoint but if that isn't needed then I can obviously create local queries and stuff on my machine. Once it is in outlook then it is simple to sync to google calendar.
Any ideas or suggestions to help me with this?
