    Dependant Variables and autofill

So I'm trying to make a project database for different jobs at this company.

What I want to do is make lookup tables for each detail of the product (company, color, type, size etc)

Now how can I make it so that if I choose "Company A" only the colours "red, blue, green" and the different types of products that company sells only shows up in the next drop down.

So if I choose Company A from the drop down, 7 colours will narrow down to the 3 that the company offers and then from the type it'll only offer whatever is available in "Red" lets say. and vice versa.

So If I choose Red in a form, it should only show me selections in the other fields that offer red in that certain size, type, etc...

Also, is there a way when some types "R" that text starting with R will only show up and autofill the closest match after hitting enter?

Sorry if Im unclear about this all, but I'm fairly new to access

    Thanks!

    Use dependent (cascading) comboboxes http://datapigtechnologies.com/flash...combobox2.html

Combobox has AutoExpand property that will fill the box with closest match.
How to attach file: http://www.accessforums.net/showthread.php?t=70301 To provide db: copy, remove confidential data, run compact & repair, zip w/Windows Compression.
