    rich text memo field

    Creating a report.
Need to place a label at top of page. Has many words with different formatting.
Created a memo field in the table as a rich text.
    My question...

Can I place the empty memo field on the report and type in what I need as the label so I can format whatever words are needed?
    or
Do I need to fill the table field to place on report?
either way, the rich text formatting doesn't seem to be working on selected text. All the properties I can think of are set to rich text.
    Any help, much appreciated.

Cannot change the report once it is rendered. Data must be in table field.
