    Password Prompt

    Hello,

I have a problem with a password prompt showing up for an access mdb that belongs to a different mdb. We know this because the prompt asks for specific information and when entered lets us in, even though that mdb has no password protection.

Both mdb's are on a network drive.

Any ideas on why that is happening?

    Thanks

apparently there was some vba that was called when the second mdb was opened that stuck with the user that opened it. didn't have time to look through it all. we ended up just deleting the second mdb and the password prompt no longer shows up. so the problem is solved but i would still like to what could cause that.

The database has a programmatic protection requesting the information.
