Arrow Edit button in a form?

I have a form, with a combo box in it, and when choosing a name, it gives you that person's data.
Is there a way I can change some of the information in those text boxes and then save it?

I don't want it to be a new record in the table, I want the old one to be overwritten.

    Thanks.

If the form is bound to the table, that should already happen. Is it not (record source property)?

Yes, it's bounded. And AllowEdits is on.

So what happens now if you make changes to a record found with the combo (and was it the combo created by the wizard, "find a record..")?

The combo wasn't created by the wizard, I just put it there and associated it with the column "Name" of the table "People".

Nothing happens. After i make a change, I don't have an Edit button to import those changes and when i press enter, nothing happens.

Can you post the db here? If the form is bound, changes made on the form should be reflected in the table.

The textboxes weren't bounded, so i corrected it, and the problem now is that everytime i make a change, it creates a new record in the table, it doens't edit existing.

I take it you can't post the db here? Do you have code running behind a save button or something?

I'll post it later. I don't have a Save button. When I edit the text in text box and move on to another, it just gets saved as a new record.
