Dynamically linking an Access Query to MS Word

    Hello everyone

I am doing an assessment for I.T that requires me to dynamically link a Access query to Word. So far, I have managed to export the query as a .rtf and create a link between my word document (A newsletter) and the .rtf. If I update the .rtf, the table in my newsletter updates automatically which is almost what I need. I want to be able to update the table in Access and have it automatically update in Word instead of having to manually change the .rtf file I created (which, as far as i can see, is not linked to Access at all.)

An idea I had was to create a macro in Access so that when I save the Access Query, it automatically exports it to a .rtf (overwrites the old one) which is linked to Word using the above method.

Would this idea work? How would I go about achieving this?l

    Thanks.

If you use the mail merge feature in Word, you can link your query results to the word document so that it updates in word to the query results when you open the word document. Haven't done this in a long time, but I remember it being quite simple.
