    Access 2010 startup FLAKE-OUT!

Perhaps a VIP can help this crazy problem. Using Win7 and Access 2010. Have been using for months no problem. Recently I opened up a very important DB that I am working on and instead of the DB opening by hiding the Navigation pane and ribbon and the n the Login form being displayed and accepting my drop down user combo box, then focus directed to my next password field -- The drop down accepts the user name, ignores going to password and goes directly to my login command button which when clicked does nothing! In fact, the on form load of the Login form seems to be ignored and the form buttons ignored. At this point even closing down Access seems to be difficult! The very first symptom is my initial navigation panes/ribbon commands being ignored, followed by the command buttons on the first form (which is called from the Access 2010 options of course). I'm scared down to the bone that this project will get hosed from this strange thing that my home PC is now doing. BTW, I already tried a 'repair' of Office Professional from Win7 control panel - Programs, and it completed without incident.
    Please, anyone?

I would start by *importing* everything into a fresh new db and see if the problem follows.

Then I would review this web page.
