Export to Word

I need to export header and footer information to Word, Excel, and PowerPoint files. This is for a document control system that includes many existing files but is not controlled. I have created a table in Access with control information and need to "push" that information to the hyperlinked file. What is the best way to do this?

Word can do Mail Merge.

Excel can have link to Access table or Access can export to table.

I think code behind PowerPoint can pull data from Access table.
