How to use "Auto Save" - no more post loss!

In case you haven't noticed or don't know how to use it, here is how auto save works:

When you edit a post, your draft will be saved on the server automatically every 60 seconds. If you lose your input due to browser/computer crash or accidental clicks, you can restore your input when you revisit the same thread. This also works with new thread, simply reopen a 'New Thread' page, you will see the link 'Restore auto-saved content'.

I lost a post today (and many times before) in an existing thread.
    I don't see a button to "Restore Auto-Saved Content"
How do we get it to appear?

After post note: I just did a test post, it got auto-saved and then clicked off the thread, and then back to here.
There was no button to restore the post.

If your draft was saved, you will see the "restore auto-saved content." To trigger the auto-save, you need to stay on the thread for more than 60 seconds.

Is there some setting that needs to be set somewhere, maybe for my profile? Because I have yet to have anything restored automatically or otherwise.

Sorry, my previous post was obviously wrong, I have corrected it. You need to click the button "restore auto-saved content" if your draft was saved.
