How do I specify a version of Word using CreateObject?

I have Word 2000 and XP installed on my machine as I develop for a number of clients. I need however to be able to specify which version of Word to open using CreateObject("Word.Application"). I have tried putting the version number after the Word.Application but it always opens the latest version.

    Can anyone help please?

Have you tried early binding? You should be able to select the versioned object library for the each version of Word installed on the machine.
