Question What is the best way to handle photos?

    Hello,

I have a database with wildlife radio-tracking data, and am beginning to accumulate another huge store of photos from the flights. I'd like to find the best way to archive photos. I know this isn't a job for Access, but I'd like to find a system where a record in my Access form can be linked to the photo elsewhere. Does anyone know of a free or inexpensive photo archiving program that may help with this? Am I correct in assuming Access can establish a link to a photo stored on a DVD or external hard drive, and that the archiving program I find won't have anything to do with this relationship? I didn't want to get started on a photo archive and then learn Access doesn't play nice with it.

    Thank you!

the best possible way of handling photos is to link your photo graphs. While inserting a Photograph in a OLE object always select the linked option rather than the Embedded option. this will help in the loading and unloading of forms better.
