    The date format is probably the issue since SQL intreprets dates only in the mm/dd/yyyy format. There is a way to handle it but I don't recall the syntax.

    On reflection JZ, It looks like their customer base is about to get much bigger so to manually input order by order I feel I will have to go down the route of recurring event. I will keep your standing order system aswell , as this will be good information for me to study. I have been looking into recurring events and I believe it would make sense as I need to fill many orders everyday. I have been looking at http://allenbrowne.com/AppRecur.html , would you advise I implement something like this , can you foresee a problem.

    With the standing order table you should be on your way with Allen's recurring event approach. The code I provided for creating standing order would be at the core of creating the recurring orders/order details.
