    Access is a database tool - not a numbers cruncher like Excel is. Whatever you do in Access has to be done manually! Remember the advantages - but yes, it is very frustrating sometimes.



    I would still suggest doing more in a query (your record source), you will find it a lot easier in the long run.

    Aye i know i need to get out of the excel mood haha

    A lot of benefits as it is more robust and as i found out earlier this week that becuase i hadnt updated the excel sheet the data was wrong since then i moved to access and it self corrects if anything changes so love it.

    Not sure how i would perform that calulation in a query? also the query is cross tab.

    not sure how to run calcs like that at run time?

    Learn what a Totals query is all about, much easier and smarter. I don't know where your crosstab query comes in - it wasn't in my version of your database!

    Just like Excel, in query design there is that "E" symbol, click it and it gives you a new row with the fields definitions below. Try one with just a couple of fields before your get yourself too immersed in detail.
