Question Embedding Dynamic Reports in Wordpress Blog

Can anybody help me embed a dynamic report? I looked at Report Snapshots, but they are static, I think, and then I would need to update the report every time I made a page. I want the webpage users to be able to view a report from the lending library template, so that they can see what is checked out. I am embedding this into a wordpress.com blog.

    Thanks, Ian

This is a web design, not Access database, programming issue. Might be able to do something dynamic with Sharepoint.

ASP might be another. Review this article http://databases.about.com/od/tutori...dynamicweb.htm
Here is forum dedicated to ASP http://forums.aspfree.com/asp-development-5/

    Smile Thank You

OK, I will try that. I don't know, though. I have never heard of ASP before, so I will have to see about sharepoint.

ASP is a free Microsoft product. ASP.Net is actually the newest version but don't think is free. Sharepoint is also Microsoft but don't think is free.

I can't figure out exporting as ASP in access 2010. I have Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2010, if that helps.

I think that maybe I will just use a static (HTML) report and update whenever I save the database.

Would not 'export' to ASP. ASP would 'connect' to tables. Think would also need IIS (Internet Information Service), another Microsoft freebie.

Access can export to XML and HTML.

    Thumbs up

WOW. That sounds extremely confusing. I guess I will just do the HTML, and remember to update. All I want to do is embed a form into a Wordpress.com blog page, so that the people who visit can see the latest information.

Sorry, I was assuming you had your own internet server. Now on re-read I think that was erroneous assumption.

Yes, I am just using a free hosting service with Wordpress.com, not my own server with wordpress.org.

Many hosting services provide that you can build your own web pages and many use ASP for coding dynamic data pages. PHP is another popular web design programming language that is also a freebie. The hosts usually provide tools to help you build the pages so you don't have to really know the language. However, incorporating more advanced features might require learning the language.

This isn't very important, so I don't need to put that much work into it. Thank you for all your help, though.

Didn't expect you would want that approach, just expanding your frame of reference. Good Luck.
