    Freeze or Lock data after querried

    I was wondering how I might be able to lock the data within teh querry so the user can see the info but not edit it. I need the first 3 results frozen and the others open to edit. Here is what my coding looks like:

    SELECT register.first_name, register.last_name, register.pri, register.priority_status, register.resolution, register.resolution_date

    FROM register
    WHERE ((([Search])=register.last_name))
    ORDER BY register.first_name;

    Don't let users view tables and queries. Users should interact with data through forms and reports. Forms can be set to not allow edits. Reports are not editable by their nature.
    How to attach file: To provide db: copy, remove confidential data, run compact & repair, zip w/Windows Compression.
