    Saving/Restoring Modified Datasheet Form

I have a database where the front end (forms) and back end (data) are separated. Each user runs his/her front end on his/
her C: drive. The users open some of the forms in datasheet view and proceed to customize the datasheet to their needs. They hide/unhide columns, move the columns to other positions, filter/sort the forms, etc. When they close the form, they "save" the form settings. The next time they open the database, all the settings are like they saved them. Periodically, the front end is modified and the users upload the new front end to their C: drive and open the database. When they do this, they lose all their customized settings and have to re-customize their forms.

I would like to set up a table on the back end so that when they close a form, I would save the form settings in that table for that operator/form name. Whenever a form loads, I would like to read the table where the form settings were saved and reset the form to the way the operator left it.

    Any help would be appreciated.

Never heard of doing this, don't know if possible. Did you Google the topic? I tried and nothing found.
How to attach file: http://www.accessforums.net/showthread.php?t=70301 To provide db: copy, remove confidential data, run compact & repair, zip w/Windows Compression.
