Exclamation Recent MS Updates upsetting Access

I'v been having major trouble with Access since the recent MS office updates. The updates came in, appearently, before the most recent Service Pack was installed. Since all my runtime applications were now breaking IT installed all the updates they had been holding back on including the lates SP's for Win7 and Office. All my existing runtime applications are now working but creating a new application is throwing errors.

Here is how I recreate the errors:
    Make a new DB.
Make a table with some fields, ...say, FNAME, LNAME.
Make a new form bound to the table and try to place a subform on the new form.

The errors also occur when trying to use the database documenter. Here is how the errors go....

    FIRST ERROR:
The database cannot be opened because the VBA project contained in it cannot be read. The database
can be opened only if the VBA project is first deleted. Deleting the VBA project removes all code
from modules, forms, and reports. You should back up your database before attempting to open the
database and delete the VBA project.

CLICK OK: Cannot update. Database or object is read only.
CLICK CANCEL:Skips the next erro and goes to "The code contains syntax..."

CLICK OK: The visual basic for applications project in the database is corrupt.
Click OK: The code contains a syntax error or a microsoft Access function you need is not available.

    Any help appreciated.

After renaming the files mentioned in the article above, the problem still exited.
Only a complete uninstall of office and reinstall of office and SP1 corrected the issue.
