    Importing after splitting DB

    Hi,

I'm having some trouble when importing data after splitting my DB. I'm reasonably good at using VBA and understand access quite well but I've only just come across splitting my database as I had no need for it up until now.

Up until now, all my code was running fine; I would click a command button ("Upload") and data would append itself from a text file into a table called "Joint Data". After splitting my database with the "Joint Data" table in my back-end database, I am unable to import data into this table. I get a "Run-time error '3709': the search key was not found in any record".

I'm completely stumped and have no idea how to proceed. Any help would be much appreciated in terms of setting up the split database and how to use it in general!

    Thanks

What code/macro do you have behind the "Upload" button?

I've realised it's not actually to do with the code now. I tried just appending a text file as I have done to my table and it just hasn't been working. I haven't changed settings or jiggled with the table or text file so I'm not sure what it could be. I made a copy of the table and the import now works on that, but not on the original.
