    Report does NOT open on BUTTON CLICK

    Hello i have a button on my form, when user clicks it, it will run



    docmd.openreport ("rptDay4")


    instead of the report popping up, a box appears showing "now printing" and a save prompt opens asking where i want to save the file?? please help. thanks

    If you look at the options for OpenReport, there is one that controls whether the report is opened for preview or printed to the default printer. Unspecified, it prints.

    The parentheses aren't necessary but shouldn't hurt.

    You want report to open to screen instead of defaulting to printer? Use the View argument:
    DoCmd.OpenReport "rptDay4", acViewPreview
