Is the URL in a Hyperlink datatype field? Could have a textbox bound to this field. Click in textbox and URL will open. Otherwise, not a macro but VBA code needed. Check out http://allenbrowne.com/func-GoHyperlink.html

The least complex way is the Hyperlink datafield type with the text box. I have tried it and it worked. The only problem I have with this is that I want it to llok like a Button instead of a link. Is this possible as I cannot find a way to change the formatting to fit my discription?

I also tried Allen's method with the VBA code, but I get an error code 490, see attached.

What would be the way forward?

The way forward is to debug. Review the link at bottom of my post for info on debugging techniques.
