I Have a Contacts table, when I use the filter on the field that I want filtered I get what I want, no problem, however when I save that filter and close the table and then reopen it it the filter is gone, how can I save the filter that I set up?

Don't you need to create a query which references your table and save the query?
I want to do the same thing--save a filter. I'm trying to save the preferred filters for a Query. How can that be done? I have fumbled my way through Access in the last few weeks using my Excel experience, so please speak in layman's terms. Thanks, Kevin.
