    Password protecting a table?

    Hello,

I need help password protecting a table, is there anyway for me to go about doing this?

I'm a complete novice to access and have basically been using it to preform basic queries, and create tables which are a little more organized, and structured than excel.

The company I work for is starting to expand and wish to limit access to a table with administrator information from the receptionists.

A detailed step by step guide would be awesome, and would be a very kind holiday gesture. I tried going over my lynda tutorial, and could only find how to create a database password; which isn't exactly what I'm gunning for

Basically, no, cannot protect individual tables.

Set up the project so users don't see the Navigation pane. Users should interact with data through forms and reports. You can use VBA code behind forms to control what data is displayed and what controls are available.

My worst fear has come to pass

Well that sucks, I kinda figured as much, it's a shame the user level security was removed from access 2003.

I guess I can hide the panels but I'm pretty sure my boss wanted tables to be password locked.

I guess I'm going to need to ask around town to see if anyone has access 2003 floating around

    Thanks anyway!
