Text box display the sum of all data of a field

    Dear All

I placed an unbound text box on my form. Now I want to display sum of a field named"Expenses" in this text box. I used the following in control source of that text box.

    =Dsum("[myfield]","[my table]","Criteria")
I want to inquire about criteria. pl. explain with example.

    thanks

Its the equivalent of the "Where" clause in SQL. Create a query in the designer with some kind of criteria (say a date range) and then look at the SQL the comes after the "Where" keyword.
