Is Access the right tool for me?

    Hi all,

I am wondering if Access is the tool I need form my solution.
I am trying to make price tags via a template that would pull product info from a seperate excel Worksheet. What I'd like to do is have a template that I could enter a model number and have all model info pull over from Excel insert it into the template and then print...Hope this makes sense. Is Access the product I will need?

Should work. You can link to the Excel sheet and then work with it like a table in Access. Build a report (the tag 'template') with the linked worksheet as RecordSource.

Why not put the data in Access instead of Excel worksheet?
How to attach file: http://www.accessforums.net/showthread.php?t=70301 To provide db: copy, remove confidential data, run compact & repair, zip w/Windows Compression.
