Place a table value in a textbox

    Please pardom my ignorance.

I have a form which (for now) has 3 controls, 2 comboboxes and a textbox. Each comboboxe allow the user to select a portion of the record key (a 2 field key). Once both selections have been made I would like to display a field form the selected record in the textbox. Can some one guide me to a way I can make this work?

I have never tried this with a compound key. Make the form recordsource a join of the table with the related value to the primary table. Bind textbox to the related field, set Locked property to yes.

June7, Thanks for the reply. I can't seem to make this work. I wound up doing it with a VB script. I'm better with VB. I have a lot to learn about Access thats for sure.

    Thans again.
