command buttons

Hello to all, i have a small problem. One year ago i worked in a office and programed for fun a business solution. There was a office version 2010 installed and there was a nice version of command buttons in all colors. I bought my own laptop now, where is office 2010 also installed, but all blank databases open in 2007 format and i do not find the designs for the buttons. do i have to install something like service pack or else??? thx for helping

Must have been either ActiveX controls or third party add-on software that provided the custom buttons.

Or they were just images that were used on the normal buttons (Access 2010 supports Images AND Text at the same time on buttons and you can add your own images now where it wasn't possible in versions previous to 2007).

And as far as file format goes, 2010 uses the 2007 file format (although if you use any newer 2010 features not found in 2007, 2007 will no longer be able to open that file). There is no 2010 file format.
