Usage Log for Tables and Queries?

In searching the internet, I was able to find a very useful site that showed me how to create a usage log for Access forms and reports using the 'On Open' and 'On Close' properites. The log shows me which user logged into the database and when each form/report was opened and closed. Here's my question - can the same be done for Tables and Queries? I wasn't able to find any articles on this and neither has an 'On Open' or 'On Close' property.

    Thanks

This might be possible with Access2010. It has new feature called Data Macros http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/ac...010378170.aspx
How to attach file: http://www.accessforums.net/showthread.php?t=70301 To provide db: copy, remove confidential data, run compact & repair, zip w/Windows Compression.

I would not advise this. Simple creation of a data macro is one of the primary reasons why 2010 mdb/accdb files will not run properly or not be recognized at all when subsequently run with pre-2010 versions of Access.

Furthermore, if you're looking for a way to log DIRECT usage of tables/queries, you shouldn't have to. Users shouldn't have access to them, obviously. If you're talking about logging the uses of form SOURCES like datasets, the only way you could probably do that would be to stream a text file with code by checking each form or report's recordsource (as some will use statements and others will use actual object names).
