    bounding text boxes


    Hi im creating a timesheet in Access, i have a table created and im doing the design form at the moment but its been a long time since iv used Access and cant remember how to bound the Text boxes with a field in the table, can anyone tel me how to do it please?

    If you are using the form wizard, Access handles the binding for you by mapping the form controls to the table fields.

    If you are not using the wizard, as long as the field is in your form's source recordset, the field should show up in the field selector in your form's design view; drag and drop the field from the field selector to the form, and Access will make a control (usually textbox or combobox, depending on field settings) and an associated label for you.

    Alternately, you could create a new control, and in the controlsource property indicate the field to bind it to.

    Thank you so much it was something quite simple but i just couldnt remeber how to do it.
