Smile Updating Access Structure without Changing Data

I am developing a database for a friend to use. The design will be evolving while portions of the database are being used. How can I send updated Access Structures (i.e. new queries, forms, reports, etc.) without altering the data in their existing tables? Is there a different file type that you can save?
Thanks in advance for your help

Splitting the db into FrontEnd and BackEnd takes care of almost all of the issues.
