    Question How to import or export CSV file to and from Access?

    How to import or export CSV file to and from Access?

    i wanted to import and then export CSV file to and from access but couldn't know how can i do that directly.

    Is there a way to do that?

    do i need all the time to have a "Broker" extension to accomplish this?

    You can try importing it using the 'Text File' option.
    Access will ask you what separates the values and you should select " , " [comma].

    Let me know if that works.

    Thank you Robeen for the answer! it works like a charm!

    Just one thing, as i exported the table, i couldn't choose the CSV format, instead, i printed it manually. please, see the attached screen shots

    Do you have a question regarding how to export the data?

    I am not sure if you needed something else answered - regarding exporting.

    You can automate what you're trying to do by putting the Import and Export functions into a Macro. I do that a LOT at work - so that once I set it up - Access does it all automatically. I can explain how I do that if you want.

    Exactly, my question was about exporting the table in CSV format.

    It would be great if there is a macro which can do the importing and exporting automatically.

    You will have to Create the Macro yourself.
    Create New Macro.
    Use the ImportExportData action to do what yo uneed.

    I have never exported to CSV . . . but you should try playing around with the Macro action and you might find that it is quite easy.

    The Help files and Google have a lot of information about this too.
