    Version history of projects

    Hello all,

I am attempting to create a database to manage company projects. Periodically during the progression of a project, a review is conducted. What I would like to do is take all of the information prior to that review and save it as a version, such as Project 1, version 1. I wish to do this so the history of a project can be reviewed when it is completed.

I'm just not sure how I can efficiently do that so any help would be greatly appreciated.

If you do not have a back end (meaning all your tables are in the same file as the forms and reports), then just copy the database and rename at the key times.

If you have a backend, then you would need to create a backup of the backend (if your backend is simply a linked access DB file, then a copy will do). Then reassign the linked tables in the copy of the front end to point at the copy of the backend.

Please reply to this thread with any new information or opinions.
