    Export to Excel

    Hi,

I've reched this site "http://www.databasejournal.com/features/msaccess/article.php/3563671/Export-Data-To-Excel.htm" in helping me to export access data to excel and at the same time you can point where on the excel cells will be exported and also what sheet.

I was wondering if it is possible to export 1 query to excel file in two separate sheet depending on what data on the query. Let say, on the query there's 2 division, one division should go to the first sheet and the next division goes to the next sheet when you run the exportation. Is this possible?

    Thanks in advance.

    Dear Vaikz,

You can do that easily from Excel by importing data, you can make database query with certain criteria and it will retrive data from database when you open the excel sheet.
You can make many queries in many sheets.

    Thanks

Yes, I know about that. But What I'm after here is that I don't want to edit my program every time there's a new division is created. So what I really want is for the output to excel will automatically create a new sheet according to how many division in the database. And it's sheet will have all the data according to the division name.

    VBA is not smart!
Only you are smart enough to call vba to add a new sheet when new division is created.

You can create the vba code either in Excel or in Access.

    They are the same as
access must call excel to do the import, or
alternatively, excel must call access to export data to it.
