Importing data from a .txt file

I receive a .txt file daily and want to import the information into a table. My problem is that the currency values in the .txt file do not contain a decimal. For instance $7.12 will come in showing as 712. How do I get Access to recognize it with the decimal?

You can easily run an UPDATE query against the new data and divide these fields by 100.

Be careful about doing that if you are adding information to your table rather than replacing data in your table. You do not want to divide existing records by 100.
