Combo Boxes always display first record of table

    Hi,

Maybe there is an easy fix for this...I have a form with several combo boxes bound to a table. When I open the form, the combo boxes always default to the first record in the table. I want them to be blank/on a new record in the table so the person can start choosing their info and submit. I have tried setting default values in the combo boxes and it isn't working...
Thanks in advance for any help!

Try changing the Data Entry of the form to Yes.

No problem. The way you came up with would be the way to go if you wanted existing records available for the user to navigate to. There is also an argument of OpenForm that determines this, which lets you use the same form for data entry or editing existing records. As is usually the case, Access has a variety of ways to accomplish a goal.
