    Automatically generated Copies of Access

I am useing windows xp professional and office 2007, to run a multiuser application. Every time I open/close access mdb file(front end), a copy of the same file gets automatically created in the same folder, and folder is seen full of such copies soon. I have to delete those periodically.

Is it a copy or the lock file? Sometimes the lock files don't automatically delete on close.

No it is not lock file. All are newly generated files with names as database1, database2 and so on.

    Hi Arunsule,

When you close the front end, do you get an error stating that Access ran into problems? I had a user in a previous life whose Access would create a copy of their db whenever it closed as it threw them an error.
