    Grouping

Hello, I am trying to create a report that contains about 7 different columns of data. I would like to group the data based on the data in one column, but everytime I do it makes the column that I am grouping on into a header. I would like to list the data on each line (still grouped) so that when data spans multiple pages the viewer knows what group the data belongs to. Any ideas?

    Thanks

Here is a tutorial on grouping and sorting. Hopefully, this will help you find your issue.

Are you using the form design wizard?
If you are, just move the sort field down into the DETAIL section of your report

I was able to get the data in line where I want it and remove the group header section, but now the data only shows up for the first record. I would like it to repeat on each line like it does for the other columns. Any ideas?

Yes, looks like the tutorial was for an older version of Access though.

Anyway, I did figure it out finally. Simple answer was that there is a setting under Format in the properties that's called "Hide Duplicates".

    Thanks all.
