Dividing time by a specific number

    Hi guys,
I was wondering if anyone could help.
My boss has asked me to calculate on access how long (in working days, which
is 7hrs 24mins) we have been working on our projects for.
For example: We have been working on our BSS project for 48hrs 55 mins (using
24hr clock) so far which works out to be 2 days and 55 mins. But they want
to now how many actual work hours have been used for this project.
I hope this makes sense, If anyone could help, i'd be very greatful.

I take it you meant "actual work days have been used for this project."

Time is based on two units of measure. Hours and Minutes. You can't work with both at the same time. First you need to decide on one or the other. Convert your total time and your work day time into one of the forms by either multiplying hours by 60 to get minutes or divide the number of minutes by 60 to get the hours (I would choose hours). Once you have it in a single unit of measure, divide total hours worked by hours in a work day. This will give you the amount of days in decimal form. If you want to break it down into days/hours/mins, it's simply a matter of converting the decimal back to those units of measure.
