    I found a solution to my problem. I have to keep the date input form open though to do it. So I am trying to move the close for that form into the close event for the report, but it will only seem to close the report and leaves the form minimized in the corner.

    How can I get it to close both the form and the report, when I click on the close print preview button.

    Make your Date form invisible and *then* execute the OpenReport using the acDialog WindowMode argument which will suspend the code in the Date form until you close the report. Then close your Date form.
