Splash Screen - dont want it to open up as full screen

    Hi All,

I know this is going to be a quick/easy fix..

I have created a splash screen for my database, so it opens up when you open up the database, stays for 5 seconds and then closes and opens up my Home Page. But the Splash Screen opens up as Full Screen?

How do I get it to open up small like in the tutorial I watched to create it?!

    http://www.datapigtechnologies.com/f...ashscreen.html

    Thanks in advance guys

    Cheers
    Laura

Have you used a Maximize somewhere? Do you use the Autoexec macro to open your Splash or the Startup form?

    Hi RuralGuy,

I dont think I have used a Maximise anywhere?
I have used Startup to open my form, so when you open the database, my splash screen form automatically opens up.

I set it up exactly how that datapig tutorial showed me.

I'll watch the video all the way through. You are using ac2003, correct?

Can you attach your zipped up db so we can look at it? Remove any sensitive data of course.

Hmm...we could probably fix it in 2 minutes if we could look at the file. I didn't see anything in the video that would do what you are describing. I'll go look ay the form properties again.

The borders were set to "None" as the Splash screen demo shows but the size of the form was too big for the screen. I would strongly advise leaving the borders to sizable until you are satisfied with the form. It allows you to play with the size while it is running. I've marked the thread as Solved.
