Question sql query builder and tables

Why, when editing an sql query, do I not have my navigation pane on the left or why am i not able to look at tables or forms or the specific options for parts of form (i.e. combo box names).

This is really frustrating, I hate having to close my query window just to find the name of a combo box or table column.

    What gives?

Never had this problem when editing saved query objects. Editing a query in a form or report RecordSource or combobox or listbox RowSource is another matter. If the latter is what you are doing, then nothing can change that.
