    error message woes

Hi trying hard to teach myself (as they say I have a fool for a teacher)
I probably need code to do this but two fields I have the row source is a query row source type set to table/query limit to list yes List items edit form yes
Now when I enter an item not in list I have a form open via macro to open the form for the table but the message displayed

The text you entered isn't in the list etc (error # 32504 I would really like to change the wording of this to something more useful or apt but don't seem to find a way
oh and my Not in List is open_form a macro to open the necessary form
so everything works how I want, just the wording could really be almost perfect
    thanks

Sorry, error handler not way to go after all. Check this link. http://www.fontstuff.com/access/acctut20.htm
Go down to the section 'Refuse the Entry with a Custom Message'
