Creating a new MDB for separate databases?

I'm working in an environment where the current requirement is to use Access as the front end with a SQL Server backend. No issues there.

However, as a developer, I only have access to the development environment of SQL Server. Once its deployed I need to have the tables linked to the production environment. The tables, database name, etc will be the same.

How can I do this? What do I need to watch out for?

most design is on a test db.

so when you put it into production one then resets to the new tables using the link table manager.
