    Form Minimize Issue

    Hello-

I set my database to open a Form on start-up, and added a "Minimize" macro on the Form's "On Open" event. The Form opens, then minimizes, then maximizes.

    What did I overlook?

    Hi Adam,

The wanted the Form to open as a dialog box for aesthetic reasons. I thought inserting a "Minimize" macro on the 'on open' event would do the trick. I am open to suggestions.

    Thanks,

    Tommy

    dialog box = ???? 'exactly'?

you don't usually see dialog boxes minimized in any applications.

so I shouldn't try to minimize a Form that is set on dialog view? Or....shouldn't use a dialog box having a Minimize Form macro engaged?

    TOM,

what I'm asking you is WHY are you minimizing it?? You don't see many applications that open up just to have a form minimize. Pretty useless concept there. Understand what I'm asking here??

ok...I don't mean to "minimize" which, I agree, is a useless concept. I see what I did wrong. It just took someone to make it obvious for me.

    Thanks!

    Tommy
