    Unhappy Database Connection Error

This is what I'm getting when I try to connect my MS Access mdb database to my program. It keeps asking me to enter a connection string and when I do this is the error I'm getting.

Format of the initialization string does not conform to specification starting at index 0.

I have created an Access database using MS Access 2007.
I copied it to my programs resources directory.

I try to connect it using the VB 2005 IDE wizard from the data menu. I tell it it is an MS Access Database and then it takes mwe to the add data source screen, but never gives me the choice to browse to it, only enter the connection string. I don't know what it's looking for.
I tried the example from MS visual Basic 2005, "Step by Step" on pg 424 and it will not take any connection string I give it.

The only way I have been successful in not only attaching it, but also accessing it like it is supposed to work is by telling ot it is a databse of "other".

Boy, am I confused! What am I doing wrong?
If I use the way I have got it to work, will I still be able to distribute it with my program and have iot work on other Windows XP/Vista machines?
